Heather Ellis has reached a plea deal with the state of Missouri. As previously reported, Ellis, a young college student was facing up to 15 years in prison after an altercation at a local Walmart that started from cutting the line.
After the dust settled, Heather was arrested and charged with trespassing, disturbing the peace, and two felony counts of assaulting a police officer. These charges delayed her education and cost her potential employment opportunities. Black activist Boyce Watkins also held a march and protests to help bring light to this case.
When Heather refused to sign a plea deal (she insists upon her innocence), prosecutor Stephen Sokoloff chose to prosecute Heather for the original felony counts. If convicted, she could have faced up to 15 years in prison. When Heather protested her trial publicly, she was threatened by the Ku Klux Klan.
From reports we've received from this region of the country (Rush Limbaugh was born roughly 100 miles away), the treatment of African- Americans in the criminal justice system is abominable.
Under the new plea deal, Ellis will serve a year of unsupervised probation, attend an anger management course and serve four days in jail before the end of the year. If she remains out of trouble for a year, the charges will be sealed and the arrest will be abolished from her permanent record.
Speaking after the trial, the young sister still held her ground and seemed pleased with the settlement. She stated,
"I didn't break the line, she actually broke in front of us. We also found out that I was shoved first and that I didn't yell or curse. I was speaking in a loud tone as I do always. And i still think that it's important that my story got out and that people understood the truth and heard it. If I would have signed a plea bargain or anything before, I wouldn't have had the opportunity to let the world know now and let the jurors know what actually happened."
....and I work at a Walmart.
Dumb things do pop off at Walmart though. Two sisters were arrested last week for scrapping with each other at the checkout.....over what....I rather not even know on the real.

Locked Up 4 Scarying A Woman To Death...

...I didn't know that it was even possible....check this out...
As hi-jacked from hiphopwired.com...
A North Carolina man will never see the light of day again after being found guilty of scaring a 79-year old grandmother to death.
21-year old Larry Whitfield was found not guilty of murder Friday in the death of Mary Parnell last year. Jurors did find him guilty, however, of causing her death by kidnapping, and that carries an automatic life sentence.
According to prosecutors for the case, Whitfield was looking for a place to hide after a robbery and broke into Parnell's home causing her to have a heart attack. While he never touched the grandmother, he did cause the heart trauma and never called for help.
Damn shame. See why crime doesn't pay?!
....I think there was alittle something named karma involved with this one.
Yea....like to see him trying to pass that as going-hard in the prison. I can see it now...
Inmate: What you in for?
Whitfield: Scaring an old lady to death.
Inmate: Try that shit with me and see if it works.
Don't forget to take your "L" with you to prison, homeboi.

The Broken Satellite:Concepts & Previews

After years of the silent rivalry between the pen and my self-confidence, I've finally built up enough confidence to make an vocal project. This could be my 1st & last vocal project far as rapping goes. I'm a producer/beatsmith 1st and at heart....but even back when I was 12 years old, I was always either writing or drawing.
Artwork
The pic up above is the concept art I've done so far....opinions welcome.
Done 3 works and the was the last and the best in my view.
The "Broken Satellite" Title
One common thing I've notice with certain people...its either you understand what I'm saying or you don't at all. I have a weird/unique way of looking and taking in the world. When I come across a subject speaking out, most of the people I meet are rather lost in what I'm talking about or in the terms of how I put it. My mentality of thinking is in a high level...not as in being a know-it-all or extra smart. As in taking one thought...zoning in....making a billion other thoughts and theory's from one. Pleasantly-overthinking as one person had put it. So when I put out my thoughts/signals, a lot of people can't really translate what I'm sending out....sort of like a "broken satellite". But it's not that easy...is the satellite/me really broken or is the frequency set to a different level? Either way...being if I'm not understood or what I say isn't easy to fix in other words...its consider broken if there isn't a way of solving the problem...for some people anyway. I'm still broadcasting regardless.
Sound
Soul...is the importance to me. 70's soul or current soul...there will be both.
80% produced by me...the other 20%...inside my circle....P.A. or the homie J Storm.
Alicia Key's "Dreaming" has become my favorite song as of late.
I will have to do something with this.....
....back to the music ya'll......more on the way...

I'm not normally a big Rihanna fan...after the last few days and the amount of anger I've been holding in, I finally found a sample to vent to. I was so heated earlier that I couldn't even make close to a good sounding beat...until I ran upon Rihanna's "Mad House" song. It's only an intro into her new CD...but an hell of an intro. So I turned the intro into something full.
Why I'm heated? It's dealing with my job and my muscle disorder. I got hired as a cashier at Walmart...but I always end up pushing carts outside....how the fuck does that work? And the CSM's think I'm not serious about the amount of pain I go thru. Standing still for hours is bad enough for my left thigh muscle and the center of my back....pushing carts just triples what was hurting and starts what wasn't hurting into hurting. For the pass 2 weeks every time I go to work near the middle of my shift I get taken off my register and told to go push carts. Mind you, we have cart-pushers. But for whatever reason every time I work there's either one or no cart pushers. I wouldn't bitch about it if I wasn't in pain while doing it. So when I say something I get yelled at with no respect. Nah...I told the guy today, don't you ever yell at me again. Talk to me how you want to be spoken to or we're going to have a problem. Also told him next time find someone else. We supposedly have 500 employees...get one of the other 499 employees to do it or get an actual cart-pusher employee. I applied for cashier for a reason instead of stock or cart pusher. I physically cannot bare it. Then after-wards, having to walk home doesn't help neither.
Whatever....back to the music.
I'm going to put up links to beats that I've made that are currently for sale.
I'll do it after I get some rest 1st.
But for ill beats there pretty cheap and the beat website should be up any day.

Of course, the original sample is from J Dilla's "Donuts" album. For whatever reason that you never heard it....go get it if your a true hip-hop fan.
Origin of beat's title? The sample that I flipped is from Dilla's "Glazed" track that is on the "Donuts" album. So...when I flipped it...it has a bit of a cajun-kick to it now. Don't know what I'mma do with this beat yet...it may make it to the "SoultapeLvL2" project or the "Broken Satellite" project....whoops....wasn't supposed to speak on that yet....ah well.
Enjoy

Gave this beat to my dude Justin(what up cuz).
This is hands down my favorite beat that I've made so far.
And I can't front...holding this down is killing me...so I'll give alittle preview of what Justin is going to kill.
This is not the entire beat, just a small peak.
Peep the full joint when the boy Jae Alz finishes the song.

Long time no blog...
Mega Man was the game in the late 80's/early 90's.
Even better, the music(even if it was in 8bit audio) wasn't half bad. A lot of them were catchy actually. Even to it's current or recent format of games. Mega Man has always had a few gems hidden as stage themes.
I actually have a few from Mega Man 3, 4, 5, and 6 that I'm sitting on. Just waiting on the right xone to flip them. What I have already flipped...a few gems from the Mega Man 8 game that came out on PS1 & Dreamcast. One of the samples will be on P.A.'s "How 2 Make A EP" that we will post up sometime this month. The 2nd sample I actually finished this morning. Not sure on what is going to happen with it. Might go up for sale on the beat-website coming soon or it might go to one of my boys. Waiting on the word from the boy Geoh if its worth selling.(what up my dude).
Seeing that I haven't posted in awhile, I'll share some new music.
I been quiet but very active.
Here's the sample I flipped if your interested.
And here is what happen...
