Every so often I'm going to drop a little preview of the beats and instrumentals I've been working on. Along with info behind the origin of the sample and alittle about the original artist.
1st up, Jerry Butler's "Take the Time to Tell Her"
Jerry Butler (born Jerry Butler Jr., December 8, 1939, Sunflower, Mississippi[1] ) is an American soul singer and songwriter, known as "The Ice Man" because of his cool demeanour while singing often intensely emotional lyrics.[citation needed] He is also noted as being the original lead singer of the R&B vocal group, The Impressions, as well as a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee.
Butler is also an American politician. He serves as a Commissioner for Cook County, Illinois, having first been elected in 1985. As a member of this 17-member county board, he chairs the Health and Hospitals Committee, and serves as Vice Chair of the Construction Committee.

The original track is ill all on its on before I sampled it.
This takes me back to when I was in Louisiana...just riding around in my 1984 Cutlass Supreme. Bumping old-skool soul songs such as this one. Throwing a few in the air along for the ride....ah...good times...good times.
Destination: I'm holding this one down for my vocal project entitled "Untold Skillz Of The 4 Ace Assassin". Which I'm crossing my fingers on that I can start near November. Either way, this won't just around and be forgotten. I love this track...nice chill and relaxed beat. Peep it for yourself.
